Recommends = BROTHER Multifunction Centre $99 -- $54 for 4 cartridges.
Recommends = individual colours rather than combination CMY
Recommends = Brother as most economical with the most ink in each cartridge.
Once a cartridge is empty put it in a plastic bag (NB. No tissue or paper towel ) in a tupperware container
in the refrigerator until you take it to the shop for swap/refill.
Laser printers .. replace toner cartridge and every 4 changes replace the drum
It is sometimes possible to remanufacture some models to High Yield example, 1000 copies standard vs 2500.
When buying a printer make sure the duty cycle meets your desired usage.
